Base is polypropylene, 290x147x14mm. Each base is supplied with two rods. Rods can be screwed into one another to obtain desired height. Rods are 25mm long and 12mm diam., chromium plated steel. 

For demonstrating total internal reflection

Fill these semi-circular cells with different liquids to observe their refractive properties. To help measure the angles, there is a printed "protractor" on the base of the cup that is marked with degrees along the curved edge.

Locate the object and its image and use Snell's Law to determine the index of refraction.

Removable hinged lid fits both sides

This PCR rack is reversible and fits a wide variety of tube sizes (0.2, 0.5, and 1.5/2.0 mL)
