NOTE: For general boiling of water etc. it is necessary for the plate to achieve maximum temperature of about 450degC, therefore the 'Simmerstat' control (SKU: CH1920-001) model is recommended for this purpose.

The comprehensive kit of parts permits many experiments in basic optics and colour blending. It is designed to take the rough handling of students and the unique lamp socket holds a 12Vx30W QI lamp. The socket permits one Light Box to be plugged into another so two boxes can run together.

The lens adjuster cannot be removed by students.

Supervision is required when students are using this magnet because it is so strong that fingers can be nipped as the magnet pulls iron products towards its poles.
The 'keeper' across the poles requires care when applying and to remove it might require a pair of pliers to lever it from the poles.
